Deleting a scam link is correct. Leaving a hole in the chat where five replies now look like they are answering nothing is confusing.
What it does
With lorem mode on in /settings, some removals are replaced with placeholder text under the same username, so the thread still reads as a conversation. It is off by default; turn it on if your channels are busy and context matters.
What it skips
Child safety and doxxing cases still delete cleanly, and so do spam and scam links. You do not want placeholder text where a serious incident was.
