Sift is designed to work out of the box after a short setup. The server owner runs /setup once to wire log channels and the mod role; everything else ships with defaults you can change later in /settings.
Invite permissions
The invite asks for what Sift actually uses: manage messages (delete flags), timeout, kick, ban, manage channels and roles (lockdown and appeal tickets), webhooks (lorem mode), nicknames (name checks), threads, audit log (anti-nuke), create invites (appeals), and Manage Server for setup panels. It does not ask for Administrator.
/setup checklist
- Pick the channel where case cards should appear — this is your main mod queue.
- Choose the mod role that can use /modpanel, /cases, and case buttons.
- Optionally set event, urgent, and support channels (see Log and support channels).
After setup
Post a short note in your mod channel that Sift is live. Give it a day or two of normal chat, then open /data to see volume and overturn rate before you tighten thresholds.
